    Hi,
The reason I ask about XP backup's is that it may save me a lot of trouble if I already have a back up.
    Thanks,
    Lewis

This is listed under microphone not working
    Hi,
    My OS is XP Pro.
I am having trouble using my Mic, it is not working. The mic is fine It worked until yesterday and I have tested it on another computer.
Yesterday I downloaded a program called AutoTune 2.31 from http://www.brothersoft.com/autotune-71936.html tried it and realised it was a demo and removed it with the control panel.
My computer is Intel core 2 Quad cpu Q9450 @2.66GHz with 3.24 GB of RAM, Sound Blaster Audigy PCI sound card and NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT video card.
I also used an old copy of Cool Edit Pro and changed a couple settings for record and output. I have tried changeing these settings with no luck.
I can play audio files in WMP as usual and can even record using audiograbber from a cassette player. I also have Realtek High Definition Audio which I think is onboard the motherboard.
I hope you can help me I am really frustrated.
    Thanks,
    Lewis
