My o/s is Win XP with SP3 and all latest updates installed.

I work with many programs at the same time and would like my folders/programs to open in the same view they were in the last time I opened them. Every time I open a folder, I have to resize it to the shape I want it to be in (usually that is 2 folders view per screen (I work with 2 screens)

In control panel/folder options/view I have checked the box: remember each folder's view settings, but each time I restart the pc, I have to reset the folder's view.

Is there anyway to program my pc so I do not have to reset everytime I reboot my pc ???

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

Folders view setting relates to the view of each folder window, not to the size or position of the window. I understand from your post that it is the size and position you wish to retain?

AFAIK there is no 'Save Workspace' command such as is found in Photoshop. The closest I can get to 2 folders per screen on 2 screens is as follows ......

Open the 4 folder windows on monitor 1

Reduce 2 in size by clicking on the icon between - and x at the top of the window

Drag those 2 folders to monitor 2 and maximise each

Right click in the Taskbar and select Tile - horizontally or vertically.

There may be third party software available to do what you want - I have no specific knowledge here.

I use Winsize 1.6, a freebie. Works like a dream. You can download a copy from http://aroundcny.com/Technofile/texts/winsize.zip.
