Is it ok to run multable clean up programs like ( Advanced Window Care 3,CCleaner,DCleaner,Glarys,PC Booster,AnVir Task Manager)? I'll use them, one at a time, to clean up once a week. Then I have paid BitDefender Internet Security as my main program, as well as SpyBot Search&Destroy, Super Anti Spyware, AVG, AdAware and Malwarebytes freebees that I'll use at different time for tune up and Tweak UI. I also have Secunia PSI and File Hippo update Checkers. This is on a 2gig Ram Compaq desk top. I also have a Dell Vista Laptop, HP Vista desk Top and Toshiba Vista Lap top set up about the same. They all work great with other tweaks but the Dell is slower on everything. Wondering if these programs are compatable when they are not used at the same time. Thanks, Trumps

Hi trumps. Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

I don't see why it would be a bad idea to run those types of programs on your system. If the computers are running quickly and you aren't experiencing any issues then I don't see any downside to them. The only thing I wouldn't run on the computers would be registry cleaners. If you have any programs that are registry cleaners then I would remove them because they can cause more harm than good. Check out this article, Why I don't Use Registry Cleaners.

I wish I had read this before purchasing RegCure. Completely fouled up my system. I have removed, but doubt that I will get my money back.

Hi Bill. Unfortunately many peple fall for scams and these rogue programs such as RegCure. If you haven't done so yet, I would try and contact them so you can get a refund. RegCure is a piece of scumware and a complete scam and shouldn't be used be anyone unless they want to crash their entire system.

Make sure to report them to anyone you can - BBB, etc. Sometimes you can report companies to the FTC depending on the scenario.
