Windows Vista programs not in use

    I would like to uninstall some programs but I am not sure which ones I dont need. Such all that microsoft office stuff, if I dont use it do I need it?:confused:

    Hi sheilab, and welcome to windowsbbs :D

    Generally no, if you don't use it you can uninstall it. However, use some caution, make sure you have backups of anything you uninstall. What you're not using today you may want tomorrow. ;)

    So a program like microsoft office home and student the compatibility pack and things like that. Power point and etc...

    Yes, but please do remember even if you don't use them now you may want them in the future.

    To add to wildfire's comment .....

    Unless you are desperately short of disk space why not let sleeping dogs lie? Apart from taking up disk space there is no real downside. And, as wildfire also posted, one day you may need them and without the installation media you are stuck.
