Hi just got my computer back from the shop after having it wiped and cleaned and windows xp installed again.
My problem is everytime i press log off it turns itself straight back on again
I had to end up unplugging it last night just to get it to go off any ideas why this keeps happening it was fine before i left it into the shop ,closed down normal.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi Irishchick,

Have you ever allowed it to fully restart after you recieved it from the shop?

Perhaps it's only upgrades that need to computer to restart?

    Hi Wildfire
I have been getting quite a lot of updates since i started up again, like over 40 is this normal when only setting up again?? Also i have an update that keeps popping up a security update for flash player (KB923789) but it keeps saying update has failed everytime i try to update it  Could it have something to do with this?

Perfectly normal, I wouldn't be concerned...

I'll be busy for the next hour or two but will look into this, others may provide assistance beforehand.

EDIT: Still busy but this thread may be relevant...

Just let the updates come through, you probably had them before but when your system was wiped they also disappeared.

Strictly speaking the store should have done all this for you but quite often the customers concerns are bottom of their list :(
