I have the firewall off, I have removed and uninstalled these programs, then download them again, and restarted the pc, but they will not start anymore, for example, I have a program called Full Tilt Poker on my pc, I used to play it all the time, then one day it just would not open, and says cause may be because no internet connection, I also have paltalk on my pc, and it says the same thing.. any program that connects to the internet is not working. can somebody please tell me why or how to fix it?

Does the browser (Internet Explorer) work? Can you send yourself an email using Windows Mail?

Could there be a second firewall operating?

I don't know the programs, could they contain elements that are considered spyware and been removed by your antispyware?

Try right-clicking on the icon for the program, select Properties, open the folder, right-click on the .exe file and select Run as administrator.

That is not the same as running in an administrator account. From Help and Support
Internet Explorer and email programs etc, run on a standard port, Port 80. Check the Options/Settings in those programs for if they may run on a different port.

It seems like a firewall problem. Check for the presence of a second firewall. You should only run one firewall. If your system has a router, try bypassing it. After that I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the programs. If they run on special ports, that should reset them.
