Keyboard problem with XP

Hi guys, very strange keyboard problem happeing here!

New install of xp a few months ago, my ms ergo keyboard died, so i bought another one

WHen i was typing the letter 'c' IN A POPUP WINDOWS box, nothing would work, even though the letter c, and C worked PERFECTLY, every time, when it wasnt in a box that a program puts up.

Returned the keyboard, the same thing happened again! Updated the driver, and things worked fine

Had to have windows put on again, and now the same thing happens, only when it is in a 'box' that a program puts up that you need to type numbers/letters in, and everything works perfectly in ms word, etc

I ran the mskey, and things are working fine, so my keyboard itself is working perfectly.

I have tried uninstalling and installing the keyboard a few times, still no luck.

Any ideas on what to do?

 

Is this a browser window or from a program on your disk ?

 

Multiple programs on disks/GUI on programs that i know work properly,

Weird thing is, i can type 1234567890 on the keyboard, but on the number pad, only a couple of numbers work, even though they all show up and work perfectly on mskey.

Thus, i am thinking it is some sort of windows problem, not actually keyboard as such
