Hi, I need to network all my computers so they work together in harmony and peacefully.

I do have somewhat of a network set up but some of it works and some doesn't.

I need to allow all my computers to connect to the Internet while at the same time connect to each other so they can share files. They will all connect to the printer as well.

I have 3 computers and here is my setup:

    1) I have a Mac running OSX (primary).

    2) I have a PC running Windows XP SP2 (secondary).

    3) I have a Laptop running Windows Vista Ultimate (tertiary).

I also have a Time Capsule (which is a wireless hard drive and network hub).
This is connected to the Broadband router via a Ethernet Cable (even though the router is wireless).

Everything should hook up to the Time Capsule so it all remains on the same network and through that, they can share files and access the Internet (via the attached router).

I also have an iPhone which has some software which allows me to connect to my home computer simply by setting my IPs etc.. in a particular way. So I need this done as well.

My PC (2nd computer) is connected to the Mac (primary computer) via an Ethernet Cable for faster file transfers.

So although its wired, I'd still like for it to be able to communicate wirelessly as well.

My Laptop connects to the net wirelessly but I need it to be able to transfer files wirelessly as well which I can't do at the moment.

So, I'm willing to reset all my IPs etc... to make this whole thing work, especially the iPhone connection.

When trying to set p the iPhone thing, I'm lead to this page to fix the problems but i still can't seem to make it work:
    http://www.jaaduvnc.com/jaaduconnec...nt=192.168.1.1&routername=D-Link Corporation

The Wireless card on my Mac is called "Airport" and through its software, I can change the settings for the Time Capsule (which is to receive all incoming connections wirelessly).

Because I need step by step instructions on changing things and setting things up, I'll be happy to award as many points as I can afford. I really do need detailed procedures to make this work.
Furthermore, I'd like the best tips for the correct settings so I can do anything (within my network) with ease - In other words, how do the pros (you) have yours setup so you can move between things quickly and easily. How do I manage the network and file transfers easily?

    Thanks,

    JH

    JH,

With the xception of the PC on the network, I went through this this morning with AppleCare. Depending on when you obtained the TimeCapsule, you should be able to get them to guide you through this pretty well on the Mac side (and maybe on the PC side too). Unfortunately, the PC side is a bit more "fiddly" especially on the networking issues. I did have no trouble adding the Mac into my office network which is PC based. Best advice is get Mac to help first.

Make sure that your Mac has the latest upgrade to your OS. I did upgrade over the Holidays to OS X 10.5.6 from 10.4.11 on my MBP and from 10.3.9 (Panther) on my PB G4 and I really notice a speed increase as well as much better use. I did clean installs in both cases after backing up.
