    Hi.

I have a really strange problem.
    How the problem occurs:
    1. When on Windows Vista (logged on)
    2. Choosing Switch Users
    3. The monitor sends me the message that it can't get display.
No matter If I click or press any key on the keyboard, or turn off and turn back on the monitor it still won't display any image.

The same happens when the OS is locked and then I choose Switch Users.

These issues do not happen everytime, but more like 3 out of 5.

I have installed the latest Catalyst Drivers. 08.12.

The computer does not lockup. I know the PC is still running, as I can hear the fans and the hard drive working, and if I press the off button, it turns of the PC correctly. Something I have to do everytime this happens.

I tried going to ATI for support, but they said this:
It's a Saphire ATI Radeon HD 4670 btw.

    Any help.

    It's annoying having this.

    Thanks.

When you switch from either user does the same thing happen.

If you "log off" do you then get the screen to choose both users? Can you then log onto the other user?

    It happens from any user.
If I log off, it usually doesn't happen. But it still does, but less frequently.

Nothing is harder to diagnose than a problem that only pops up intermittently :(

Indeed. I am usually able to fix most problems I run into, either completely by myself or by googling them, but this one of the few that continues to elude me.

A little (big) update. After I wrote that last post (from work), apparently my monitor died. A first I though, this was definily a monitor issue. How wrong was I!
In the meantine I am using an old 15' monitor, and at first It looked like the problem went away. Well, the same issues happen with this monitor. I'm guessing this is a graphics card issue, but I'm gonna send It back on warranty. (to get a new monitor and have this hideous problem fixed.)

If anyone has some sort of solution, please do share, who knows, someone might run into the same problem and find the solution here.

    Thx anyway.
