My Auto Play stopped working on my Windows Vista 64 bit computer. When I insert a DVD into my DVD drive and wait for it to open I get a dialog box that says "Error Code: 00002711. Unable to Load File --*IMP ". When I right click and click open with Power DVD I get the same dialog box. Same for double clicking my DVD drive.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Power DVD (restarted the computer after the uninstall and reinstall). That did not fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office, (restarted the computer after the uninstall and reinstall). That did not fix it either. Also did a system restore going back as far as I could, which was only about a week or so, that did not fix it either.

I started to use the Windows Auto Play Repair Wizard, but it will not work with Windows Vista 64 Bit. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Short of that all I can do is uninstall and reinstall the operating system which I prefer not to do right now.

    Thank you again.

Arie, it's beyond Cyberlink. I switched things in control panel and set it to ask me what to do when I insert a DVD. Same problem. Take good care of yourself and thanks for your thoughtfulness. Please have a safe and happy New Year.

I`ve searched with Google, and all the links when was involved a "Error Code: 00002711" are from PowerDVD, so Arie is right...

go there and post a inquiry about the error and the manifestation

Arie and IuliusAugustus, I thought I had Googled it already but when I did it took me to a forum. The forum told me to uninstall Power DVD which I thought I already did, then go into my program files and uninstall the folder. So I tried to uninstall Power DVD but I got a dialog box that said "An installation support file could not be installed. The system cannot find the file specified ". I then went into my program files and could not find the Power DVD folder, so it looks like I'm in for a complete reformat.

At least I've made my decision. I really want to thank both of you guys.
