    Hi,

I am facing a problem in accessing internet using any browser (firefox,chrome,IE7). My laptop is connected to internet and speed is good. I can say that because when i use it to ftp some file or to download some file using torrents, the speed is fine. But when i try to access any site (either from IE7 or firefox3) the page takes lots of time to load. Even for loading google.com it takes about 3 minutes. How to fix this?

What are you using for protection (anti-virus / firewall)?

What other programs do you use to clean and disinfect your computer? When was the last time you used them?

Does the computer slow down the longer the computer is on... or AFTER you downlad something?

And (of course) is your operating system up-to-date (and which are you using)?

Also... how big is your hard drive and how much free space does it have? Have you defraged the hard drive?

Finally, has your computer just progressively slowed down, or did this happen all of a sudden????

Your answers will help to track down an answer... :)

    1. I am using windows Live One Care for protection.
    2. I recently tried many antivirus/antispywares to remove IspyNow waring:

    3. It is not related with time the computer is on. I have tried shutting it down, cooling it.
    4. I am using Windows XP with SP3.
    5. I have a 80GB hd with some 25 gb free currently. I have not defragmented it.
    6. It happened recently only while i was trying to remove ISpyNow alert. I uninstalled most of the softwares and ran may antivirus scans.
