What is Additional Domain Controller / How it works.

I have two Offices say HO & BO

HO & BO are connected through VPN. We want to have same DC for both sites. We have 1 mbps Leased Line at the ho & bo.

What happens if the link or VPN fails between HO & BO.

    Any other solution pls help

Additional Domain Controller (ADC) or Backup Domain Controller (BDC) is a backup computer hosting DC services to be used as a backup in case your primary DC goes down or is somehow unavailable.

The Primary Domain Controller (PDC) and BDC synchronise their data on a regular basis so that either can be used as DC.

Since you too are in India, could you tell me the vendor who is providing you the leased line [most probably BSNL/MTNL] and where are the two office situated ?
