I am running XP Pro with SP/3 and have lost my power option function. Everything under "Power Schemes" is grayed out so I have no setup options..
Can anyone help, I've not seen this problem before.

    Thanks,
    Reid

This worked perfectly, but why should you back up the registry and how do you do this?

I also have a problem with using the "toggle keys" and "sound sentry ". I use this feature to flash the screen and beep when you accidently hit the "caps lock" button. I can put a check mark in "toggle keys" and it will beep but very lowly, almost to the point of not hearing the sound, there should be a way to increase the PC volume, this sound does not go through the external speakers. I then click on the sound tab and put a checkmark in "soundsentry" then a drop down gives you the option of having the "screen flash ", the "caption bar flash" or the "desk top flash ". The option I always use is to have the "screen flash" but I can no longer get this to function, neither can I get the "desk top" to flash, the only option that works is I am able to get the "caption bar flash" function to operate.

Any ideas on how to straighten this out?

    Thanks,
    Reid
