Again, a screen print of the crash pop-up would be useful to see.

    Dave.

I assume then that you do have the latest version of Real Player?

You can also find the cause of the crash by clearing the Location Bar, then type: about:crashes

    RealPlayer Really updated?

I thought that I had. I originally downloaded RealPlayer on the 4th of April this year. In fact that & Firefox 2 were the first downloads I did on the very day I bought the computer. However I thought I had updated RealPlayer recently. On checking Programs & Features in the Control panel it seems that I hadn't for some reason. I have updated RealPlayer now & checked it in the Programs & Features & it is updated to today's date now. So I am up to date with it NOW I think.

I have not had the pop up come up yet, it is 9 minutes past 10pm (British Summer Time) & I installed the new RealPlayer at about 6pm (BST). So I have this feeling you were right about the update as I haven't seen that bloody pop up yet!

Well ... 'touch wood' as we say in England & fingers crossed that I won't see the bloody thing ever again!

I think you have hit the nail on the head Ramona, cheers. I will keep you informed as to what happens. :)

    Pop went the pop-up!

I would just like to say thanks for the help & I think the problem of the annoying pop-up is solved. I checked the plugins & noticed that the RealPlayer Version Plugin is now 6.0.12.69 (the original was 6.0.12.46) so it was almost certain that the out of date RealPlayer plugin was to blame for the crash & subsequent pop-up. :D
