When on my husband's laptop, I have to sign in to My Yahoo and iGoogle every single time, although I always check "Keep me signed in" on My.Yahoo and "Remember me on this computer" on iGoogle, and I never sign out. My husband has the same problem on that laptop, but neither of us has to sign in every time on my desk top computer.

I'm not sure what information you need on the laptop, but it's a Gateway 450ROG with WINXP Pro and SP3. I can provide more specs, if you need them.

I hope someone can shed some light on this. It's really a pain!

P.S. And I apologize if I'm submitting this to the wrong segment of our forum. I thought maybe Windows XP?

The password infomation is stored in "cookies." Many of the anti malware/spyware programs have option to delete cookies. You should check the settings..

    Thank you, Steve

I checked Tools-Options-Privacy just now, and I do have a cookie saved for igoogle and my yahoo. Actually, one of the things I did last week, trying to solve this, is remove those cookies and start all over, but that didn't work.
    Thanks for responding, though, Steve.

Could new drivers be the problem?

Last month I bought Driver Scanner and ran it on both our computers. It called for several new drivers, and I followed through. It's caused no problem on my computer (the desktop), but could one of the new drivers be causing the problem with Yahoo and iGoogle sign-ins on the laptop???

    Cookies

Steve, I think I responded to your comment about the cookies that there are cookies for Yahoo and igoogle. I just now checked again, and they are there in Tools - Options - Privacy.
    Thanks for trying to help.

Cleared check box for cookies in History

Steve, it was true that there were cookies for those sites when I looked, but you did make me think about checking further. On the laptop, I had the history settings set to clear all personal data upon exiting. I guess that's what you wanted me to do. I cleared the cookies check box --- problem solved! Thank you.
