    Hi,

I have been getting some BSOD's and I think It's coming from my video card... but I have been asked to check my memory & hard drive for errors. I checked memory using memtest and found no errors... Next I contacted Western Digital (I have WD Raptor 10K RPM) and they have a Diagnostic tool for Windows but it does not support 64bit.

I'm attempting to coordinate with a friend and test it from his PC but is there another diagnostic tool that I can use that is 64bit friendly. Either a tool already included with VISTA or a third party tool that I can use ?

    Thanks in advance.

    I don't know of any.

As for your BSOD: Follow these instructions to post a Dump Data Log.

If you do not have a dump, ensure that your machine is configured to write out a dump by following the directions from microsoft

OK, Thanks... Yes, I was going to check the Dump Data Log later today since I'm not home... but I also wanted to be able check my hard drive.

I'll get back about dump data log.

    Thanks.

As for disk diagnostics, get the non-windows version (Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS (CD)).

Great idea. Instead of getting VISTA 64bit I'll ask about the DOS version.

    Thanks !!
