The only hassle i'm experiencing is getting drivers for Vista.
Its just a matter of time before people get used to it and developers would emphasize more on Vista drivers instead of XP drivers.

Another question, i've read about issues on the keyboard of this Asus M50Vm, but i forgot where i came across those articles. Could anyone point me to the right direction in solving my issues?

I've got a couple of questions regarding this laptop.
I realized that some of my games aren't running as smoothly as they are supposed to be running.
So i'm suspecting some of my drivers are not up to date.
Is there any way for me to find out what drivers on my laptop is up to date or not?

With games, it's a world of tweaking. Specific forums which deal in this environment are your best bet. Each game can demand an individual setting(s) based on OS, 32/64bit, screen size/quality, CPU and most of all the GPU and it's most stable driver available... doesn't always have to be the most current. This forum selection(s) is based on each game you enjoy playing. This is a good time to have/consider image backups to protect your system drive. Allows a more reckless approach ... within reason.

I had no specfic links for you, that is what Google is for.

    To get you started ...
    Generally Hardware
    Asus Support page
Numerous links to choose from. Pursue the following ...

    REGISTRATION for new computer.
DOWNLOAD - BIOS, Drivers , User Manuals and Utilities here.
MEMBER - You will get more value-added services by becoming an ASUS Member.
FORUM - Post and reply to issues, and share useful technical articles with us.
FAQ and TROUBLESHOOTING may provide more useful links.

NEXT - Google the provider for games you run.
Choose one of your favorite games. Go the Author/manufacturer site. Check for any provided support.
    Check for Driver updates/downloads.
    Check for Patch update downloads.
Check for Forum support specific to game/version you have.

When downloading any of the above, be sure it is compatible with your OS/bit type.

NEXT - Google for Gaming type forums. Then drill down to find sub-forums which offer games you are interested in.

NEXT - Google for forums which deal with notebooks in general ... primary those that specialize in gaming.

And i couldn't find the graphics card that i'm using on the asus website nor could i find it on the nvidia website.

nope i'm not having any problems with connecting to my router.
and i used the update driver in device manager and it says windows determined that the driver is up to date.

And do i have to download ALL the drivers from the Asus website and install them, or only download a specific few?

    ASUS hardware /devices/applications from ASUS.
OS drivers, example Vista 32/64 bit would come from MS.
3rd party devices/applications comes from mfg. site.
3rd party games/drivers would come from author site.
Some of the above choices may source from the same location and or file.

From first glance, this appears to be drivers for two different WLAN devices ...
    AW-NE771 WLAN Driver is for a Mini-card? - (AW-NE771 miniCard WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g/pre-n)

Intel WiFi Driver would be the the built in WIFI on your MOBO.

All of the drivers you found on this support page may NOT be required. Manufactures change options/devices during the manufacturing / marketing process. Many OEM manufacturer provide a service (example Dell, HP) which can drill down to your "unique" model/version/build. You track this information through the "Service Tag ". It would be a sticker on your computer. This would be a good question to post on the ASUS hardware forums. The Service Tag information would provide all of the hardware/software/ Drivers/schematics. I do not know if ASUS offers this type of service.

For now jAsOs, I would ONLY recommend archiving the drivers. I would NOT install any drivers. If something is not working/broke, then pursue on the possible solutions.

As long as everything is working good, no harm, no foul. But their were drivers on that page that I don't believe you have devices for.
Under Others, their were 8 application/drivers, many of them I have no idea what they are for.
Under Camera their were drivers for 3 different brands of webcams.
Under TV/Radio, their are drivers for 2 different brands plus 3 different models of tuners.
    The lists goes on ....

Is their a reason you felt you needed to install all of these drivers? General rule of thumb, if it is not broke, don't fix it.
You gave the impression you were going to upgrade your computer to Vista 64-bit very soon after arrival. Some/many of these drivers may need to be updated to 64-bit versions, but I've noticed in the ASUS listing most are 32-bit, with a few 64-bit versions. I'm currently concerned with drivers installed for devices you do not have, 32-bit and 64-bit versions for same device may/could/will cause some problems.

Actually, i'm having some issues with my external USB keyboard.
Halfway through a game, the keyboard starts lagging causing the game to lag as well.
I've updated the driver for the keyboard and i've got no idea what else to do.

As stated, I'm not a gamer. When I Googled, keyboard lagging seems to be problematic in gaming.
    1) Does this occur in all games on your computer?
    2) If no, which game(s)/version/patches/updates.
    3) When game played previously on other laptop(s) / and friends play said game on their computer .. anyone/anytime experience keyboard lagging with said game(s).
    4) Go to Author/mfg site for game. Look for keyboard issues, updates, fixes, work-arounds. Do the same search at gaming sites for game(s) with this issue.
    5) This maybe a hardware issue (possible BIOS) -
DO NOT UPDATE YOUR BIOS AT THIS TIME.
Go to Asus site, hardware forum and look for post's dealing with keyboard lagging. If you post, be specific. Provide your computer model, game(s) having this problem, when it occurs, what you have done to try to fix it.

I've tried it, and the laptop keyboard lags as well.
I tried disabling the language shortcuts but it didn't work.
I suspect that its the language function that's making me lag because it pops up each time i hit the shortcut key combinations.
