Password Manager does not ask me to save passwords on some web pages.

Have tried using bookmarklet, but it still does not work. In Password Manager instructions on the Mozilla help page, it says to be sure that JavaScript is enabled for the "current page. "

I have JavaScript enabled on the content tab of FF.

Is there another way to check if it is enabled on a "current page? "

I thought that enabling JavaScript on the content tab enabled it for all web pages.

Is there a way to manually enter the password into the "remember password" box?

    Thanks

    Judy,

Some sites prefer that the password isn't save for their sites, financial institutes for one. If you use NoScript, ensure that the site is "Allowed' by NoScript. If you have Java enabled in Tools | Options | Content, ensure that when you access the "Advanced" options that none of the choices are enabled.

Can you give us a link to a specific site where there is a problem?

I did uncheck the boxes in the acvanced tab across from the "enable javascript" choice.

Both java and javascript are enabled.

    It still won't work.

    The page is: https://www.key.com/index.html

Possibly they have successfully blocked "saving." :(

I do not use the "no script" add on.

    Thanks again.

    Judy,

Since that is a banking site, that could be why you are unable to save your password. Frankly, you should be glad, as that is a real risk to keep your banking password on your PC.

Look in their FAQ, send an email, or call the Bank to confirm that saving the password is on their end.

The bank told me that there are no blocking features on the log in page.

    Any other suggestions?

My tests are the following: 1. how does it do with IE? If it works with IE, then use Firefox with IE Tab . Does it work that way.
If it does not work with IE, the bank is full of baloney. They do block saving the password. If it does, the site is designed to work with IE, but not with Firefox (IE Tab should take care of it).
Personally, I feel that passwords for banking should not be saved.
