Windows Vista Vista - Network Drivers NOT WORKING

    Hi,
    I have got a PC with Xp and i upgraded it to Vista, Everything went well until i tried to get the network up and it wouldn't, I went onto hp.com and downloaded the network drivers but it will still not pick up.

    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG :mad:

    Just food for thought.

    Vista Requires a password to do most network tasks. Me and the boss - both 60 or better don't really have any time or use for passwords. Vista would not connect to any other machine in the house - I have a few - until I provided a password. You could get by with XP & no password, but not Vista.

    After downloaded the network drivers, I suggest you to try disabling all network connections, and uninstalling AND removed all relevant network drivers from the PC, and then right-click on Computer from Start, choos Properties and then Device Manager, view device by type, and disable and uninstall the driver. Scans hardware change and give your new drivers for the new discovered network adapter. (I skipped certain details, so if you are not experience, write down all the steps and information.)
