Have you looked in Display Setting and Enable dual screens?

Are you maybe suppost to hold the Fn key and then hit the F5 key?

Not necessarily F5 - check your manual.

Look on the keyboard for the Fn sub keys - on my HP they are blue icons on a variety of keys - the one you want is a screen icon.

Hold down the Fn key and press this key to toggle between laptop screen, laptop & projector and projector only.

Oh, and check you have the video cable plugged into the correct socket on the projector.

The projector will have a "search" function to find the graphics adapter on the laptop. What happens when you use it?

In Display Properties select/highlight the secondary screen (#2) and reduce the resolution to maybe 800 X 600, then try the search function again.

The graphics adapter should have it's own control software, like an nVidia, ATI, Intel, etc, "Control Panel ". You may need to right-click on the desktop or look in the Notification (system) Tray to find it. Reduce the resolution there for the secondary screen.

The Fn + F5 keys should run the projector setup program. Is it possible that the program is not installed or has been uninstalled on your laptop? Check if it is for download at the Toshiba website or is on the drivers CD.

    Matt
