    Hi,

I have recently aquired a laptop which has a WiFi connection on it. I have tried to connect it wirelessly to an Orange box but the installation CD it came with cannot detect the wireless hardware. I know the orange box is OK because I am able to connect to it and the internet via a wired connection to the laptop.

Is there a way to test the WiFi LAN connection on the laptop? Do I need to turn it on or enable it in anyway? If so how would I do this?

    Regards PCFarmer

Check the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop. They usually have diagnostic software available for download.

Mine didn't work untill I found the switch. Also you should find a security code on your router.Entering that should make a difference.---Pete
