    Hi,

I recently formatted my harddrive and re-installed VISTA 64BIT. When it completed installing, I selected Recommend downloads... Does this automatically download SP1 ? How do I check if i have SP1 ?

SP1 just came out two weeks ago...If your Vista cd is older then that, then it doesn't have SP1 on it.

Windows updates would be the palce to get it from.

    Hi Steve,

Yes, my VISTA CD does not come with SP1... Previously I installed SP1 from windows update... My question.. is after I do a clean install, usually there are alot of windows updates that are recommended... I selected to download recommended... (I did not go to windows update - but I guess it's the same). I assume that together with other updates... SP1 was included. I later go to windows update and do not see SP1 from windows update...

I assume that SP1 was downloaded... Is there a way to check that I actually have SP1 ?

WinKey + Pause/Break brings up a screen that tells you what you have......

Click on Start->Run and type: winver

I'm pretty sure if you have SP1, you Windows Version will indicate that.

You can also look in Control Panel->Programs and Feature to see if SP is listed there.
