Welcome to WindowsBBS wayne jones :)

We need to get a better look at some things. Download Deckard's System Scanner (dss.exe) and save it to your desktop.
    • Close all applications and windows.
    • Double click on dss.exe to run it and follow the prompts.
    • When the scan is complete, two text files will open; main.txt, which will be maximized and extra.txt, which will be minimized.
Post the contents of both main.txt and extra.txt
You may need to put them in separate posts due to character count limitations in this forum.

Please provide details of what is repeatedly found with Spybot.
You mentioned having prior online help. Was it at another forum? If so, would you post a link so I can see what has already been done? Otherwise, details of what was done would be appreciated.

You're getting the message that the post is too short because you clicked the Quote button to reply instead of the Post Reply button, then pasted the log into the quoted text. The quote of the previous post alone is not seen as a reply so the forum software thinks there's nothing there, until you typed a line outside of the quoted text. ;)

I'll look over these logs and let you know if I see anything out of place.

Is that all it tells you? No file, filepath or registry entry? Please open Spybot and go to Mode > Advanced mode > Tools > View Reports > View Previous reports, then post the contents of the latest log.

And it finds this entry on every scan? Let's see what's there. ;)

Highlight and copy the following bolded command.

    reg query HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Bind /s> "%userprofile%\desktop\bind.txt "

Click Start>Run then type cmd and hit Enter to open a command window. Right click and paste the command then hit Enter. It should create bind.txt on the desktop. Open that text file and post it's contents here.

You can delete the bind.txt file.

Highlight and copy the contents of the code box below.
    Code:
    reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Binddummy
    reg save HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Binddummy binddummy.hiv
    reg restore HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Bind binddummy.hiv
    reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Bind /f
    reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Binddummy /f
    del /q binddummy.hiv
    exit
    cls

Click Start>Run and type cmd then hit enter to open a command window. Right click in the command window and select paste. The command window will close on it's own.

Now run Spybot and let me now if the key is found again.
