Trouble with 3.0 Comodo Free firewall

Hello all, I just did a clean install of my Win XP Pro. I have been using the free version of Comodo Firewall.(ver.2.4.18.184) but when It came time to install my firewall I installed Version 3.0 of the free Comodo. It drove me NUTS! I like to configure the firewall to ask me if its okay to operate a piece of software, file, etc. Well i couldn't get 3.0 to stop asking for permission for software and files. I finally uninstalled 3.0 and went back to ver 2.0 Did I do something wrong or are people having troubles with 3.0. Thanks for any help here. I'm using 2.0 and all is good for COMODO once again.

I have upgraded to 3.0 also, even with the older versions I got tired of comodo asking for every little permission some times over and over with the same one.
So when I updated I did not use the Defense + just went with the basic firewall and the leak protection.

Don't know if it's the right thing really, but it's a lot more quiet.

Hi Geri, I hated 3.0 but maybe I did install the wrong way....maybe I will try it your way. See with the clean install of my OS I think 3.0 was asking me to okay all the Microsoft Security extras and stuff like that. It would NOT stop asking for the "Allow" in Comodo...So you like 3.0, thats promising...No issues going around about 3.0 hopefully.Thanks Geri,,

The Defense mode is set at ...Clean PC mode.
