Is there a software (free) out on the net where I can combine 2 .flv movies into 1? If so, what is it?

    thanks

Can you convert the .flv file to something else first. For example you can convert it to an .avi file using a program like Super (its free and it works great)

    http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Then you can use a program like Avi Split Classic to join the .avi files

    http://www.bobyte.com/

I use both of these programs and they work very well.

I think it would be easier to find programs that will join .avi and .mpeg than it would be to find something that will join .flv files.

I can change them if you mean rename it to either mpeg or avi. Not a problem. I tried and was able to view it with VLC media player.

    RE broni's posted link:

According to McAfee's SiteAdvisor about softplatz.com ( "yellow" rating),
While many (most?) files at softplatz may be legitimate and clean, I think one should at least use caution.

By renaming the .flv extension to .avi and then using VLC Media player, you're actually taking a very unnecessary step. VLC Media Player can play this extension just fine without renaming them. Also, when you rename file extensions, you're not really changing the file format.

Not exactly the same thing, I mean convert it to a different format. For example, I can put a .flv on my video ipod, it won't play it. I can then change the extension to .mpeg-4. It still won't play it. The video it-self must be converted to an mpeg-4 format, then the ipod will play it.

Simply changing the name wont do it.
