    Vista Ultimate, 32 bit.

I have a folder (on my C drive) which inturn contains a number of other folders, with the lowest folder having two (2) corrupt files with weird greek(?) symbols as their names.

They appear in Windows Explorer but cannot be deleted, copied, cut or otherwise handled as an error message appears which says "cannot find this item "

I have ran chkdsk, and used numerous soft ware programs (Dr.Delete, Unlock, MoveOnBoot, etc.) to no avail.

Is there any way to get rid of these folders/files short of reformatting and reinstalling?

    Thanks.

Did you create the folders or are they Windows folders?

What is the name of the folder that the files are in?

It is a folder I originally created, which was fine, then something happened which corrupted the files. It is not Windows related.
