When I open Firefox, I get an error page that says:
    Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.windowsbbs.com.

    * Check the address for typing errors such as
    ww.example.com instead of
    www.example.com

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

This same message appears with ANY webpage I attempt to load. But Internet Explorer is working fine. I called my ISP, and they suggested uninstalling Firefox & reinstalling, which I did, but no luck. I even turned off my firewall, but it didn't help either.

    Can anyone help?

    rdpega,

Did either of the links work for you? If not, then try adding this information to your hosts file:

    67.228.10.245 windowsbbs.com
    67.228.10.245 www.windowsbbs.com

Windows XP hosts file is located here: C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc

Add the above, following this line: 127.0.0.1 localhost

    Check settings in ....
    Preferences | Advance | Network | Settings
Select Direct Connection to the Internet.
"OK" all the screens. Close / reload Firefox.
