USB WiFi problem

    1) check in the device manager that the network adapter is installed properly
    2) if it is then check the wep ( or wpa ) code is correct
    3) if not that 99 % you have a neighbors signal drifting in and causing interference
    you will have a good signal and yet no transmission / internet
    you may not even see it with the useless windows wireless utility and / or the beacon on many new routers is turned off by default
    change the channel in the router from the default channel 6 to channel 1 or 11 ( can be any other than 6), change the ssid from the defaults ( even if only to add a digit), turn on encryption

    also make sure that the router is high and uncluttered
