I am unable to fully connect to the wireless network, it states that it is 'acquiring network address but its been like that for over an hour, I then checked online and instaklled the following patch - which an earlier thread advised to do with sp2 machines - 'WindowsXP-KB884020-x86-enu'

    Any Ideas?

Ok, first you need to find out what kind of wireless connection you are trying to connect to, if it has a password, or a key, that allows your machine to log onto the network. I connect machines to a giant domain every day with several different wireless access points, that error almost always relates to an invalid password and/or certificate. If this is the first time that you have tried to connect this to your network, this is most likely the problem. You will need to find out what kind of router you are using, the password to get into the router, then you will be able to find out what kind of connection you have and proceed from there.
