6 weeks ago a document I saved became a permanent fixture on microsoft. Each time I need to bring up a blank document, it is not blank, and I have to delete the content. Next time, same thing. How can I delete it permanently?

diver -Welcome to the Board :)

I suspect you inadvertently saved the document as a template - post the app in which this occurrs (Word, etc) and we will try and sort it out.

Close Word - search for Normal.dot (enable search hidden files & folders) - delete it. Next time you open Word it will be recreated. Any presets you had in Normal.dot will be lost and you will have to redo them - default font, etc.

    Moved to Other Software.
