I'm running Win XP Professional on a Dell Inspiron 8100. I just noticed that I have no system restore points except today's System Checkpoint. The system checkpoint that was created yesterday (I saw it there yesterday before I shut down the computer) has disappeared.

Although I've been using this computer for a month or so, and it creates system checkpoints almost every day, there are none except today's showing. They've all disappeared.

Does anyone know what's going on, or whether there's a setting I have to change?

There's only 1 hard drive, but it shows up as 2: C has only Dell drivers, and D has everything else, including Program Files and WINDOWS.

C has 7.10 MB used, with 732 Kb free
D has 3.76 GB used, with 14.8 GB free

    I'm monitoring both.

    Hi helpseeker,

That's the problem - shut monitoring off for C - not enough room for SR and it's wiping the RP's for D as well.

The info for C is static, no need to monitor - back up to cd. As a general rule, only OS partitions should be monitored by system restore.

Thanks. I did what you recommended. So far so good. It saved yesterday's restore points. I'll keep watching, and may be back to the BBS if the problem recurs.
