Suddenly my hard drive LED stopped working. I figured maybe the connector came off from the motherboard but when i first turn on the pc the LED comes on during POST so i guess its not the connector. What else would make it not work ? I'm temporarily using software that puts an icon in the system tray that flashes during HD activity which does work

    Thanks

Did you make ANY type of change to the pc prior to this issue?

The only thing that was done recently was i tried a IDE to SATA 2-Port Adapter Card with a SATA drive on the master IDE connector on the motherboard. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3576
And i put my IDE drive back in.
