dwwin.exe is the executable file for Microsoft Application Error Reporting - it is not the direct cause of your issue.

You have an application which is not shutting down properly or has corrupted files.

Did this issue appear after you loaded some new software?

I don't know. I guess not. Once in a while i download software but not on regular base. I have it since a few months, but the pc stays most of the time on at night.
Can i do something about it?

It will require some work on your part to identify the application which is causing the problem ....

It may be a program which runs at startup .....

Start > Run > type in msconfig > Enter

In the System Configuration Utility window which opens click on the Startup tab.

Disable all non Microsoft items - those starting with C:\Program Files and reboot and shut down. If the error message is then not shown on shutdown the culprit is one of the programs which starts on boot.

Re-enable them one by one, rebooting each time until you find the culprit

There are no guarantees that you will find the culprit, but it is a good starting point.

I disabled all the non-windows programs and it keeps showing the error. But the pc shuts down automatically.

I would re-enable each startup in turn, testing before moving on until you hit the one which stops the computer from shutting down as it should. If possible update/reinstall the software and test.

And when i start up my pc there is a message that there has been an error occured in the filehippo.com update checker and the program must close down. I didn't got that before. Personally I would live without it as it is creating problems. I'm not a fan of such programs preferring to use a program's own auto updater if available, e.g. Photoshop, Java, Adobe Flash, etc and Microsoft Update for mainstream MS products - the OS, Office, etc.

For driver updates I strongly recommend going direct to the manufacturer's website.

I'm not clear as to whether or not the program is still installed or not ....
That is the Windows Security Centre Notification executable - a new error!

I suspect the possibility of a hard drive issue or malware - I will seek a second opinion.
