Resolved combine partitions c and d drive

    The site that you think tells you to use disk management, actually says:

    1. For Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, you can merge partitions in Disk Management indirectly without any other partitioning software
    2. If you use other Operating Systems or you do not want to delete any partition, you need to use third party partitioning software to merge partitions

    Since you have Windows XP, you'll need to use 3rd party software.

    My advice is don't.

    What specifically is the issue, are you running out of space on drive C: ?

    We encourage all members to enter their system details, it could help resolving this and any future issues you may have.

    i went ahead and downloaded the/A partition wizard & ran it
    now there is 23 gigs of free space on c instead of 1.3
    7 d is gone
    so what is done is done
    and most importantly...
    thank you for your help
    and all the input.
