Resolved Largest Hard Drive recognized by WIN XPSP3?

    What is the largest HD I can use with my version of WIN XP SP3? Thanks.

    Hi Ackerberg, I think the limitation is usually BIOS. Most large drives will need the latest BIOS update to enable more than 32Gb. Some can do it automatically but I would check whether the HD manufacturer advises updates. Neil.

    So, independent of my particular BIOS on my Presario, I could use a 2TB drive in my system and ALL of the memory would be accessible?
    Please answer, and thank you all for your help.

    Memory and hard drive size are two different things....

    But yes, most modem pc's can see all of a 2TB drive.
