    Hello,

I have recently went into my Administrative Tools folder then Services and turned off a bunch of services that i know that i don't need....such as the ones for networking. I am not on a network and never will be at home. I also did this to my mom's computer with no problems. We both use XP Pro.

Now, my taskbars color has changed from blue to white and i don't know how to get the original color back.

Can someone help me with the problem.

    Thank you.

It sounds like you might have changed Performance Options for the system.
If you open System from the Control Panel and choose the Advanced tab and click the Settings button under Performance make sure that Adjust for Best Performance isn't selected.

Alternatively look at Black Viper's site and restore the default settings for Services for XP Pro of the appropriate SP.

Change the Task Bar Color in Windows XP

    1. Start up your computer and right click with your mouse on any clear space (don't click on any part of the taskbar or on any icons) – a menu should appear.
    2. In this menu, select Properties.
    3. Select the option for Appearance in the menu that appears.
    4. Click on the active title bar.
    5. You can now easily customize the color of your Taskbar.
    6. Click on Apply and you can view the new look of your Taskbar. Once you have customized the Taskbar to your liking, click OK to close the dialog box. It should be noted that while the taskbar color will change, the Start Button will always remain green.
