    G'Day Folks,

    Thought you might be interested in the "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: popup error message;

    Runtime Error!

    An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
    Please contact the application's support team for more information.
    [OK]

    This was, in my instance, caused by the installation of the Google Tool Bar "Google Toolbar 6.4.1208.1530 (IE)" (latest in the series) for IE (Internet Explorer) which I had downloaded and installed it using the "GoogleToolbarInstaller_en32_signed.exe" file.

    In some installations it brought up the error message immediately after installing the Tool Bar and in others it did so after a re-boot of the PC.

    Windows XP SP3 is not the only Operating System affected and have come up with similar error messages in Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 Ultimate while using this installation file.

    To resolve the issue I,
    1. Used the default Add/Remove, to un-install the Tool Bar,
    2. Re-booted
    3. Went to the "Google toolbar" web page and clicked on the " [Install Google Toolbar] " button
    4. Elected to tick both boxes in the install window and clicked on the [Accept and Download] button
    5. I then clicked on the [Open] button and in subsequent popup windows elected to use the [Run] option to install it.

    This installed the latest version "Google Toolbar 6.4.1208.1530 (IE)" successfully and eliminated the error message.

    I did download the file, i.e. in stem 5 I elected to [Save] the file, however using the downloaded file again for some reason caused the same aforementioned installation error in XP sp3.

    Trust this may save some members a headache in trying to solve the mystery "Runtime Error! Program: C:\Pro... R6034 "
