explorer bar on desktop

    i can not remove the explorer bar from my desktop please help but in simple terms as i am new to computers i have gone to the faq's and did what it said but its still there

    when u look at your documents there is a bar down the left hand side saying folder tasks etc i have got that on my desktop thanks for the reply

    Pretty much any desktop toolbar can be closed by right clicking on it anywhere there's an empty space and choosing "Close Toolbar. "

    I never got to the bottom of what caused this. It seems to be associated with people who play a lot of games, but if I am right, I still don't know what game!
    In any case, there is an easy fix. Download this file, run it, and save it for later. Let us know if you ever find out the cause.
