In the past when I installed or reinstalled Windows XP Home Ed. (upgrade version), I used floppy disks of Windows 3.5 during the upgrade check. I have lost these floppy disks. I do have a Windows 98SE Upgrade CD. Will the XP Home Ed upgrade check accept this upgrade CD or will I need a full install disk/cd?

You need a full installation CD for evidence of pre ownership.

Do you know of anywhere I can get a Windows 3.1 Full version set of floppies? Other options, will DOS 5 work?

You would think that a legitimately registered copy of windows 98 would work
For dos or windows 3.1 try posting on a local buy sell / Kijiji its found money for someone
    At the worst ebay
