Can't get rid of a Windows update.

My PC is trying to install a security update for the Powerpoint viewer. It's calling it KB956500.

The trouble is after I try to install the update, it says "Some updates could not the installed" yet it says it's complete. This is the only update the computer is trying to install. Then the update comes right back. I've tried installing it 15 times but the computer keeps nagging me about it.

I even tried to tell the computer not to install the update so it will go away but it keeps coming back in the system tray.

I've also tried rebooting the computer and that doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Perhaps there is a EULA that you have to accept when installing, typical of Office updates. If you are using the Express option of Windows Update the EULA doesn't always come up, with the Custom option it usually does.
