Question What are these files ??

I just notice that (in the root of all drives) i have some files;

ffastun.ffa, and others with ext. " .ffl, ffo, ffx "......

What are they and can they be removed?

If I remember correctly, those are created by a complete devil of a feature called Find Fast. It is very resource demanding and it has been long advised to disable it. Either do it from within the MsWord software, which it is part of, or use something like StartCop.

Then delete them afterwards.

I also recall that there was an applet icon in the Control Panel for that scourge. I deleted it after shutting it off, just so nobody could turn it back on.
