Can I make "Close" always the last option when selecting taksbar programs?

    Hi,

Many programs hijack Windows' default listing -- so if you're used to quickly right-clicking on a program on the taskbar, and then clicking again (right or left will do) to exit, this won't work. It will, instead, go to whatever stupid option the program wants you to go to.

A great example to show what I mean is to open up Services under Control Panel -> Administrative Tools.

Now, if you right-click on the "Services" tab in the taskbar (has a little icon of two gears) the last option will be "Customize View..." with "Help" above that. The usual bolded line that reads "X Close Alt+F4" is above those two and a seperator.

I am sure there's a way to change this stupid "feature" via a Shell extension plugin. Does anyone know how?

I would seriously doubt that - it will be coded into the Windows core.

As you have indicated some programs have options above and beyond run of the mill programs.
