Question Device Manager

Hello Everyone!

Why does my Device Manager not show any hardware? I learned this while on the phone with family who was trying to help me get an MP3 player to work. He had me look at the Device Manager for hardware.....nothing comes up.

Thanks,
Karen

Thanks. I did what it said and it was already on automatic. Strange.

I am thankful for this site. As soon as I get some medical bills paid down (neck surgery 11/6) I'll support again.

Blessings!

So I guess that means device manager is still empty?

There's two other possibilities (that I know of):

1: Device Manager malfunctions after you install Windows XP Service Pack 2

2: Malware

For #2 you'd have to read this post, then post the requested log(s) in the Malware and Virus Removal forum.
