I know I can fix the problem if I can get a windoows xp home disk Any Ideas. Best buy will not supply me with a disk since my coomputer is over 6 years old....i do not have access to a floppy drive to down load the recovery disks on 6 floppys that windows advises. XP Home Edition is still available

If worse comes to worse and you can't find one, consider getting it at Amazon

The exact error message(s) you're getting might help us resolve your issue.
Do you have access to a computer that you can burn a cd on? If so, you would also need to install two things, which could of course be uninstalled after use.

You can buy an external USB floppy disk for about $20. Go for it!
