I have 2 identities set up, the main being the one used all the time, with all the programs active. The other is not used. I am running Windows XP, service pack 3.

My problem is with the main identity. When I click on the icon for either the secondary hard drive or the primary dvd/cd read/write drive I get the following message, and cannot access either drive:

Restrictions: this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your computer administrator.

I have read all the postings but didn't find any that seemed to help or apply. If I click on the icons in the secondary Id, there is no problem, and I am able to view the hard drive contents, and use the dvd/cd drive. I am at wits end, having tried myself for several months attempting to solve this problem and would appreciate help.

Please let me know how to proceed from this point, my machine is an open book.

    thank you
    Andy Fowler
