Regcreatekeyex Error 1019

I've tried install Sky Player and FeedDemon and keep getting this error

I've tried to manually create the key and Regedit won't let me. It seems that the registry is locked but I haven't done it. Any ideas please?

 

Are you installing as Administrator, if not give that a try

 

I try that mate and it tells me that it can't find the file and to search for it?!

I did find that it was "blocked" as it came from another PC but even unblocking it fails...

 

Sorry, you've lost me completely, can you define the various "it "'s in your post?

If you don't have a legal license to use the software I can't help any further.

 

Sorry mate it's a new keyboard and I keep making typos.

The software I'm trying to install is free and totally legal. Skyplayer is from Sky and FeedDemon is a free RSS program. That's not the problem mate.

Also I've noticed two things - the Windows Defender update won't install and when I logged off something seems to be trying to access the Regedit program (during shutdown). Have I been attacked?

I've only had this problem in the last few days as I've previosuly installed things fine.

Not my field Dansco but it does look suspicous.

You may want to read this and post in the Malware and Virus removal board.

 

I regularly use Spybot, Aw-Aware plus AV but obviosly something has slipped through. Thanx for your help mate
