SP3 and IE7

I was thinking of uninstalling IE7 before installing SP3, and then reinstalling IE7 so I have the option of removing IE7 at some later time.
I looked in the usual places for uninstalling IE7 and can only find the option to remove IE7 from the start menu and its shortcut. How do you go about uninstalling it? I would have thought it would be in the install and uninstall list, either as a windows component or as another component. As a windows component can only eliminate shortcut and start menu entry.

I found this:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177

This is it, but in my case I have to use Method 2 because IE7 uninstall is not an option with Add/Remove programs.
Also the windows/ie7 folder is a hidden one.

Windows Internet Explorer 7 should show in Add/Remove programs - no idea why it is absent in your case and , Yes - C:\Windows\ie7 is a hidden folder.

Know the problem

I think Windows Internet Explorer 7 catches a few folk out as they instinctively look for plain Internet Explorer 7.
