Desktop Shortcuts to new computer

Hi, Is there an easy way to copy Desktop icons and shortcuts from one latop to another. I have received a new laptop and want to use the same desktop arrangement. Both laptops are using win xp

A Shortcut to a word doc in the folder My Docs can be copied Provided you have placed the word doc in the same folder AND the user name on both computer is identical.

The shortcuts are stored:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR User Name\Desktop
