Does anyone know of a way to force both Notepad and Wordpad to default to the setting of "All Files "

Are there any Command Line Parameters that will do this.

I some times use either one or both to edit HTML web pages and it is aggervating to have to reset the window every time so "All Files" show.

    Thanks,

    Ray

Guessing that you're refering to "Save As" - All Files...That would require a change to its basic programming...

Course when saving a file you can type the extension...Myfile.html

Steve, I was actually trying to convey the fact that when you go to retrieve (Open) a file the only files that will show in the folder window for retrieval is a .TXT file.

Therefore, I have to click on the bottom window where it says "Files of type:" and change it to show ALL FILES in order for it to show the other files which in this case are the web pages with HTM or HTML extensions.

It's no biggie but, a pain if your going back and forth retrieving HTML files and it is just a couple of steps I was trying to eliminate.

    Thanks, Ray
