Every three minutes, a popup comes up. It is titled "Network Diagnostics for Windows XP ". I am sick of this popup. Is there a way to get rid of it or at least stop it from popping up?
    Thanks for any help

    Go Control Panel>Networking.
Click on TCP/IP4 entry. Click Properties button.
Under General tab, click Advanced button.
    Click on WINS tab.
Put checkmark in next to "Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP "

    Try running:
    sfc /scannow
    Have Windows XP CD handy.

also, ensure that your cd drive is "D: ". i've seen a few cases where the scannow tool does not work if the CD drive letter is changed.
